Leisure Time

I am an outdoor person. When I have time I do some travelling. For me travelling can make a person understands more about the local culture, flora and fauna and it makes me appreciate the nature. Other than that, it taught me to be good in time planning and patience. It helps in reducing my burden of stress from studying. I enjoy doing outdoor activities so much. This kind of self-treatment need to be done once in a time in order for me to always get back on track and have a fresh start. In other words, outdoor activities are my preferred way to rejuvenate.

Recreation Skill

This new post will acknowledge you about my co-curricular activity. To enlighthen all of you (readers), at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) there are several co-curricular activities offered. 

One of them is Recreation Skill. I am interested to join this skill as I love to explore new things and environment. I finished this skill within two semesters. This recreation skill involved two phases which are Recreation 1 and Recreation 2. 

For Recreation 2, students were assigned with some tasks. We were asked to go to Teluk Senangin, Perak in order to accomplish the task given. I was there for 3 days and two nights. The transportation were basically arranged by the management. Students were ordered to gather at Main Stair of IIUM. The journey took almost two and half hours. 

My team and I were assigned with a task to build a raft. We took about one hour to build a raft. Next, we were asked to get on our raft and take it to the nearby small island. It took about one and half hour to reach the small island. At the island, we were given some times to get a rest. After having some rest, we need to search for any suitable things in order to build our shelter. Apart from that, we have to collect dry woods for fire craft.

In the evening, we were taught on how to find food in the survival conditions. At night, we are allowed to do anything we want.

From the skill, I could learn so many good things which can be applied to the daily routine of life and also in the working environment.

POSSA Sport's Day

Today, I would like to share my experience by joining an event under Political Science Department. The event was basically handled by  Political Science Student Association or known as POSSA. in the event I was holding a task as a sub-commitee. The event theme was traditional games.


                                      

The event was started at 9 in the morning. It was conducted in the campus area which was at Mahallah Asiah. All the person in charged and the participants were informed to gather at the mahallah compound. The event took few hours and we managed to finish it on time. All particpants at the end, were given some refreshment. Apart from that, prizes were awarded to those who excelled.

From the event, there are many benefits that I can grasp from it. First, I learn on how to work in a team. By working in a group, cooperation and understanding are essential for all in order to get the best result at the end.Second, by joining such event, I can develop my communication skill where I can share my ideas and thoughts with my team. Furthemore, by having this kind of thing, people can get to now each other better in and out.

My Goal and Future Career Direction

My short term target at International Islamic University Malaysia is to finish my study and gain my degree by 2016. During this period I am going to make myself physically and mentally prepared in order to face the real world soon. 

My goal right now is to find a position at a company where I can grow and take on new challenges over time. Ultimately, I’d like to assume more management responsibilities and get involved in administration position. But most importantly, I want to work for an organization where I can build a career.

 I am driven to be the best at what I do and I want to work somewhere where I’ll have opportunities to develop my skills, take on interesting projects, and work with people I can really learn from.
